Introduction

In this tutorial, we will explain step-by-step how to query data from a Fabric warehouse with T-SQL using the visual query editor.

Goal

Data should be queried from a table in the warehouse with T-SQL using the visual query editor.

Data

We consider the table student that is stored in the warehouse "dlnerds_warehouse".

Step 1: Open Data Warehouse Experience

We have already signed in into Fabric and opened the Data Warehouse Experience. We have selected the workspace "dlnerds_workspace".

Here you can see the Data Warehouse Experience.

Step 2: Open Data Warehouse Explorer

Open the warehouse from which you want to query data. We open the warehouse "dlnerds_warehouse". The warehouse contains the table "student".

Step 3: Create visual Query

In order to create a visual query, you can use the visual query editor in the Data Warehouse Explorer. The visual query editor provides a visual interface for writing queries via drag and drop. Click on "New visual query".
